Cove adhesive

Hi,

I have just had 18m of 127mm cove delivered and a bag of adhesive. It is gyprock and the adhesive is a 5kg bag.

It doesnt look much and i cant find out how far the 5kg should go. It doesnt say on the bag and the gyprock site is down.

Does anyone know if 5kg is enough (i dont like starting jobs i cant finish)

we always use dry wall adhesive or bonding compound.

this is sold in 25kg bags and is enough to do a whole house.

it is white too.

and grabs like bu**ery.

and costs less per k.g.

Should be plenty, don't mix it all at once.

Definatley dont use finishing plaster. we usually use a thicker mix of artex or similar. adhesive used for dot and dab is fine as well. three quarters of a bucket will do approx 18m of coving. Dont forget to use a scraper to take off the excess that oozess out and then run a wet brush along to make it smooth. This will save lots of sanding later.
