I was thinking the same thing about Spain. And i have been there. Not that that should be a requirement to make a comment about a very well known fact.

The MIL has a villa in Spain. Her residentia was all Brits. Last year things changed. The president retired, sold up and came back home. The new president is a Dutch lady. Mind you, she’s alright and the bonus is she can speak Spanish where the previous president who had been living there for 18 years never could. Then, the couple in the villa opposite her sold and moved elsewhere and shock horror - a Spaniard bought it! According to the MIL, that’s just the thin edge of the wedge and before we know it, it’ll be full of all sorts. Luckily, we're just that little bit too far away from the casino otherwise it’d be full of Russians.

Oh dear. It's as if there are no Brits any more who want to buy the places.

I wonder why. Perhaps something has happened to put them off.

I do hope your MIL doesn't end up having to live amongst a lot of foreigners - in Spain.

?....I do hope your MIL doesn't end up having to live amongst a lot of foreigners - in Spain.

Wont be a problem for her, she only goes there one week a year anyway and in any case, she’s used to living with foreigners - she lives in the UK. Oddly enough, there’s more Brits around her when she is out there than there are over here.

China Town just around the corner, full of Chinese. What is London coming too!

Err, what else would you expect to find in China Town? The clue is in the name.......

So if these Arabs you saw made their own little Arab town where they all remained, speaking their own language, running their own shops and community centres etc. you'd be totally OK with that?

Well, unlike you I wouldn’t be surprised to see lots of Arabs in a place called 'Arab Town'.
