Our Porch has a brick base going half up, about 30 inches and all the way round the porch which
itself is finished with Upvc Frames and Glass. I am looking to cover the Brickwork. Plastering is not an option due to the fact that I am unable to find someone to do such a small job. If anyone could suggest an alternative I would appreciate hearing from you. I was thinking about some kind of board, but not essentially plasterboard as it is too thick. I was then thinking of painting it. ? I do not want any kind of tiling because that's whats going on the floor.

None ! - the brickwork is level at the top with window frame
Thats of no consequence as you would put in a thin Upvc sill/trim to cover any board, so you can use Upvc cladding.
If the area is likely to be damp /cold then plastic would be best.
