Looking for some advice on what best to do.

If cut a channel in my bathroom plasterboard wall to run some pipes . The wall behind the board is the original stone wall (old cottage). After I've run the pipe what is best to use to fill the channel - approx 6" wide, 2 feet long, 1" deep.?
Would just a standard cement be okay?

Thanks in advance.

Can't you put the plasterboard back?

Thanks both - I ended up doing it on Saturday.
I went with wrapping the pipes in duct tape prior to cementing them in.
The wall is dot & dab but after cutting the channel out it was quite poorly supported so cementing them in had added a bit of rigidity.
