Mmmmm they are one of the large accountancy firms. I don't think they handle it only "track it" and look for tax efficiency etc. This is what they offer, doesn't include planes and trucks etc. These used to be provided by Transport Agents - these days they are called Logistics Providers / Companies.

Serco, Boots, the armed forces, Amazon do handle logistics. ;) Must admit that I have no idea what Serco do though. The others do move things around.

Do you think that the Tories will change their behavior just because of a pandemic.

hahaha.

DP - what does it really mean?

Could it be that the Government are trying to short cut the procurement process in order to increase the testing capacity and therefore are going straight to a company that they believe can deliver the results?

The best people to do this were the local CCG and Trusts who actually know their area and people who live there and where best to set up the test centres. Or even DHL who had a contract to supply the NHS which ended a few years ago.

There were better candidates than Deloittes.

in a word: No
and it hasn't delivered the results

everything the Tories does is driven by vested self interest.

that is why we have a health minister that has taken £32,000 from the Institute of Economic Affairs which is a lobby group that campaigns for privatisation of the NHS
and many other Tory MPs have interests in private healthcare

No

I expect plenty of them will make lots of money out of CV, same as they did out of brexit

Deloitte aren't running it. Its like all government run projects no matter who is in government. The Quentin's and Tarquin's of the world get drafted in armed with powerpoint to create the project. You'll find underneath its Serco and Boots. At least 2 out of 3 are UK firms (boots being US owned Walgreens).

You wont have to look very far to see that Deloitte have been involved in major government projects no matter who was in charge.

Under the Blair government, I regularly came up against them and the boys and girls of cap, EY, Anderson etc.

If you want a project done right, start with people who can project manage.
