I am installing a new internal wall in an existing living room to create a new smaller room. The existing living room has ceiling coving all around the perimeter. I want to have coving on the new internal wall so everything matches. How will I join the new coving piece on the internal wall to the existing coving that is around the existing room where the new wall meets the existing wall at a 90 deg angle. Thanks.

Easiest way is to treat it like any other internal corner. Where the new wall's coving meets the existing run at 90 degrees, you cut a mitre on each piece: the new piece on the end of the wall and the existing coving where the new wall meets it. Because your new wall butts into the old coving mid-run (a T junction rather than a corner), the old run just carries on past, so you scribe or cope the end of the new piece to match the old coving profile. Cut a mitre first to show the profile, then cut away along that line with a sharp knife or coping saw so it sits tight against the face of the existing coving.

If it's plaster coving, fix with coving adhesive, fill any small gaps with finishing plaster or caulk, and sand smooth. Dry fit first, and a bit of practice on an offcut is worth it.
