Hello,
I've removed a piece of coving (as shown below) as it was left a mess from removing a builtin cupboard. I've also now decided to remove the rest of the coving in the room as that is in a poor state. I used a multitool to carefully remove the coving, especially around the artex which then left a thin layer of coving adhesive on the ceiling and wall. I used a wood rasp to scrap and flatten the old adhesive but going forward I think I will use a sander (with vacumn attachment - hopefully less messy
).
Just a couple of questions:
Is there an easier way to remove the coving?
From looking at the picture, will I need to apply PVA to help strengthen any tears in the paper of the ceiling board and to seal it before I apply new coving?
Many Thanks
