Do any of you old timers know which type of RCD model will fit in this Crabtree consumer unit (3871)? Mind the blanks they will be covered with blanks or spares.

Yes, alright.....I can't sleep, but not because of this!

I'm now thinking there may not be an RCD incomer for this board (I may be wrong), but I think they first appeared in 1992.

I'm wondering if this was the board that had breakers that were 25mm wide instead of the more usual 18?

A board change or an upfront RCD covering all circuits not really ideal so its probably going to be former.

Hope not lol.

Pretty sure there is. I've seen similar consumer units to this one but with a type AC rcd so there is no point in installing one as it'll warrant a C2.

There is no RCD for that.
There were RCBOs, but they were double width, cost a fortune, have been obsolete for decades and certainly won't be of any use today even if one could be found.
Those incoming tails are rotten.
Replacement of the whole lot is long overdue.

The Starbreakers are normal width the wider ones were Polestar
