Hi guys,

i am in the middle of building a timber structure in the garden with a fold out roof.

I am after a sealer to fill the gap between 2 pieces of wood to stop water getting in. The is a lot of weight on and off the top piece so there is constant movement and flexing of the wood. I tried a so called "flexible" wood filler but it cracked straight away.

Could anybody recommend anything?

Currently im looking at Gorilla all condition sealer and CT1 sealer & adhesive. Ive never used either so dont know how they will dry. Im guessing to prevent cracking they need to dry soft and flexible like silicone.

thanks

The only truly flexible rubber mastic (that is not prone to shrinking) is polysulphide sealant. Good stuff but expensive.
