Hi,
I am looking for some advice. I have spotted a crack in the mortar of my house wall. It is at almost ground level and below the DPC, see the below photos. Wondering if this is something that I can just repair or if I should get a professional out to look at it? House is still within NHBC period.
Thanks

Shrinkage, nothing to worry about, you will see lots of that on walls and plaster for that matter
It's when you see staircase cracking effect that you start to get worried

Awesome, thanks a lot.
Happy Easter!
You're very welcome my friend, happy Easter to you too.

BTW, keep an eye on it because when water sits in the crack after rain and maybe freezes it could just chip out the mortar a bit, but you can remedy that by carefully chipping out the damaged mortar with a narrow chisel just in that area to about 2cm deep then buy a small mortar mix and just push it into the area with a trowel or if small a putty knife
But don't worry for now and it may not get worse anyway.
