Crack in mortar of brick wall

Is this something I should be worried about

If possible can you get other images without the " Brown Curtain?? Corrugated sheet??" in the shot? + an Image from a bit further back to enable an overview.

As for what can be seen so far, areas of pointing appear to have been replaced some time ago?

I wouldn't be concerned. Rake out to an inch deep and repoint.

Minimum bond on stretcher bond is 1/4 brick, you're on the limit and if the joints weren't fully filled and compacted, hence the cracking, so just repoint.
 
That crack is older than me. I'd be more worried about going out to buy some mortar to point it up.

Is that an extension joined to it?

One word of caution,

Suggest you try very hard to get as good a match as possible for the pointing mortar.

Any change in mortar colour will simply draw attention to the repair.
