Hi all

Just resealed bath and found a little cracking has appeared. Silicone has dried.

What is the best way to fix this?

Is it okay to add another layer of silicone on top?

I've attached some photos if they help.

No you can’t add more on top silicone does not like sticking to more silicone.

the best and ideal thing is remove and redo.

If that’s a bath did you fill with water while putting the silicone on and leave for a good 24 hours before draining?

I did...filled bath and waited 24 hours.

Do you mean I need to remove ALL of it from the bath and start again?

Unfortunately that is exactly what I mean. You can’t go over dry silicone with more silicone and expect a good finish.

no need to remove all the silicone round the bath - simply cut out the sections that have not been filled - clean and dry the gaps, and re-apply short beads of new silicone.
