Hi all. I'm about to purchase a 2008 relatively new build that has a stone cill under the front window. I've noticed it has a crack in the middle none of the other properties around do. Brickwork below seems ok. Guessing cosmetic. It's the one on the left (kitchen window) it's not wide just a hair line crack relatively straight. Thanks Paul. Picture of property. Haven't a image close up

Need a better close up pick ......

Those cills can crack. Nothing to be concerned about. Can be fixed.

I reckon you could remove and replace without any props. Easy if it's ground floor. If they're still made. It will look brighter than the rest at first but will blend in eventually. You could just clean the others to make it blend better.

You could make it look less bad by cutting out and filling the crack. But it won't be invisible and will probably crack again.

Thanks, do you think im best to just leave it, its only a hair line crack ? thanks Paul

i actually thought about cutting it in the middle and having a joint ? (i wouldnt dare cut it with a grinder myself...)
