Hi All,
We moved into our home in February and have just spotted these cracks in our brickwork.

The house has been here approx 30years and as far as we're aware, no history of structural damage. This is a corner and just under a downstairs window mainly.

Thanks Andy! You're right about the downpipe!

Just to check - is this something I can fix?

Appreciate your expertise!

Thanks Andy! Will do this...I'm happy to try most DIY stuff so will give it a bash. Thank you!

Even on first inspection (when knowing what to look for) I noticed the pipe is not aligned properly. Could this be the issue?

Thank you again!!!

Thanks for your help Andy!
Is it as simple as realigning this and problem solved or has too much damage already been done?
Cheers for your help and take care!

I would dig out the gully and check for any other cracks or breakages below the ground.
Hopefully with the coming dry weather the ground should dry up.

Andy

Cheers Andy! Love the optimism but in Scotland a long dry spell normally means 6 hours without torrential rain!!

Anyway, I really do appreciate your help and hopefully whenever you're in need of a bit of advice someone is there with the help too .

Cheers!

Pics taken from further away, showing the whole wall, would give the context.
