Alright chaps,
The float valve in my cold water storage tank is constantly dripping. I want to replace it with a new one. However, the hole where the float valve passes through the tank has a small crack running to the rim of the tank (about 4 inches). My plan was to replace the float valve but move it over a bit, glue the crack and blank the old hole off. Is this advisable and is there a water proof glue that will hold should it ever be submerged?
I can't afford to get the tank replaced at the moment so any ideas for repairing the current tank are welcome. Just want to assess my options as i can't really afford to replace the tank right now.
Thanks
Tom
