So I've ripped my wall out, re-built it with thermalite, PVA'd the wall, stuck the corner bead around the window. fitted the windowsill and then stuck my first coat of Thistle bonding coat on. Came back today and lo and behold. Cracking like a crazy cracked thing.

Question(s):

Do I need to strip off the cracked plaster (I've only done under the window its self). Or can I PVA it and carry on over the top?

Is the unusually hot weather causing this? Should I wait till the evening so its cooler?

Is it worth re-PVAing the whole wall?

Worth dampening it with a misting bottle every hour of so?

Look forward to the help :)

bonding always cracks on high suction backgrounds aslong as its stuck it will be sound just pva and skim also run your knife over it to provide a key for the finish stick.

Ah, awsome :)

I took the forethought of lightly brushing the wall with a firm broom head to give me my keying.

In light of the warm, humid day we have today. I think I'll get the rest of the bonding on the wall tonight :)
