I recently moved into a new house and we haven't had a chance to tile the bathroom walls yet but when initially using the bath cracks delveloped where it met the wall and I got the builder out to strengthen the wooden frame. It seems far better and the movement is less pronounced but cracks have started to appear again. Is this normal? And will it cease to be a problem when we tile over it?

Thanks

It's just a regular bath if there is such a thing, made from acrylic?

Acrylic flexes and pulls against the wall, normally the silicone seal gives up and allows water to fall behind the bath.

Try more timber work under the bath, or change the bath to a pressed steel model.

Have you taken into account the plaster settling as it is new
