Cracks in wall

Hello

I'm planning on getting my spare bedroom re-skimmed ready for me to decorate. However there are a lot of horizontal cracks in the room but most of them don't feel hollow like they've blown. There are some cracks which I think have blown so they will need to be knocked back to brick and re-done. However these other cracks, the wall sounds solid. Do these cracks just need taping over or is it best to knock all cracks back to brick?
