creaky floorboards

Hi there, we have had a creaky floorboard in our bathroom since we moved in 5 years ago. Today I could stand it no longer

and pulled up the vinyl flooring. Although it appears not to be loose, I whacked in a couple of nails where it seemed to be making the squeak - to no avail. Its just as bad. Can anyone help me please.

I would be most grateful.
