I am Abount to start designing for a job building a new wc area below a set of stairs.

i will build all the studwork myself and running the 4" should be no problem.

because of space (lack of) i am looking at putting the cistern in the ceiling space above the new room (the space between the ceiling and the underside of the stairs.

Can i put a long section of pipe from the cistern to the wc.

are there any problems assosiated with this? (water splashing over wc bowl.

any ideas??

It will mean you have a lot of pressure and could splash if you leave the seat up. :(

Small price to pay to clear all the bowl contents.

high level cisterns usually have a metal washer in the flush pipe outlet, where it connects to the cistern, to reduce the pressure slightly to stop splashing..!!
