Creating run off with firrings

Hi,
I have a flat roof space of 6.4m x 4.9m but the 6.4m is only a small space the majority is a 5m space.

Would it be ok to add the firrings in the little space (which wont run the full length) the same as the other space and the water will find a run?

The run will be down towards the 4.9m length as in the image.

Cut the firrings for the shorter length of roof so that it runs in the same plane as the rest.

Problem is the furrings are 4.8 meters so shorter than the full run of the roof for that bit.
