Shower is just over a year old and when switched on the 'overheat ' light comes on. I've tried waiting to see if it heats up but no luck. Also tried switching it on at the coldest setting and gradually increasing temperature but again nothing.

There is no 5005 more likely it's a 500s.
Tco has failed on heat can.
Check tco for continuity with multi meter, Make sure mains power is off.
