One from left field - to use a cricketing analogy!
I’ve got a custom made as seen below:

bat which has a slight edge crack as seen here:

It also has this crack/dent:

Can I please have your advice on how I fix these and allow it to withstand further impact from the cricket ball?

I was also unsure on how I clamp it whilst the glue is wet and not end up gluing the clamp too!

Thanks in advance.

I really don't know about the best glue for the task, or even if that repair is doable, but the clamps and the bruise I can help with.

Bruises can often be lifted out by applying a damp, folded tea towel to the bruise and applying a hot iron. The theory is that the iron heats the damp cloth and forces a minute amount of water vapour (steam) into the bruised fibres which in turn causes them to swell slightly. I have used the technique on solid (hard) wood furniture and door casings. This technique might take several applications and may only be partially successful. Works a lot better than jusy using cold water

Clamps are easy - coat any threads with paste wax and give any other metal or plastic components a good going over (in fact 2 or 3 of them) with something like Pledge wax furniture polish. Always protect the handles and pads when doing this, though. The wax greatly redu es the tendency of the glue to stick
