Is anyone here into cricket, whether playing and/or watching?

I've never played the game and hold little to no interest watching matches on tv. Was channel hopping the other day and a match was on, so I thought 'give this a chance.' 30 mins later, even though there had been some decent action, that was enough for me. I was out (see what I did there :))

I cant watch it it's so boring....but then I dont watch football either, or golf.

Used to watch a Test match with the commentary off and listen to TMS on R4 back in t'day when Johnners ruled the airwaves but then SKY took over and all the joy went out of it when he passed away. Still watch the highlights but less time for a long match these days. I was used to listening in on t'wireless when John Arlott filled the Summer airwaves with the redolent aroma of Tweed and fine tobacco, and i still prefer the radio.

I was listening in the car on the way to Lincoln when Shane Warne bowled the Ball of the Century. It was his first ever ball in an Ashes Test. Mike Gatting's face as he walks off is priceless.
