Crimped connections on electric radiator in bathroom.

I was surprised to find crimped connectiors covered by insulation tape on the supply to an electric radiator in the bathroom on a new build house recently.

Surely this can't meet the electrical regs ?

No, it can't.

It's a new build - get the builder to rewire the element properly, or replace it.
