Hi
Can anyone help i have a problem with my main consumer unit, it trips out
just about every time i go on hoiday the power from the grid is over head and is prone to gowing off at anytime, when it does the trip trips and the electric stays off untill i get back. I am thinking of putting in a split consumer unit as the old one is 25 years old is only rated at 30 amp.

will this help? :(

Hi

I can't get a photo of the CU unit at the moment, But as for tripping it seems to trip when we have bad weather thunder and lightening or sometimes just very windy etc.

Max. :(

an overhead supply and lightning often cause RCDs to trip.

When we know more about your installation we may have suggestions of how to improve things.

and tell us what is written on the thing that trips (all the letters and numbers please).

How often does it trip when you are at home?
