I'm laying floor tiles and the corner of one is on the corner where a waste pipe is. Should I cut around the waste pipe or is it okay to just cut a square off the corner? I can't really actually cut all the way round any-way as there would just be a little 1cm sliver on the left hand side.

Also I'm leave a 7mm gap all around the edge of the room. Do I still put flexible adhesive up to the wall?

If the cut is hidden then a square will suffice. If it's seen then a round will need to be cut.

Thanks for letting me know. Do I put adhesive right up the wall or leave a 7mm gap all around the edges with no adhesive there?

I normally leave a few mm gap and then seal between the wall and floor tiles with a thin bead of clear silicone
