hi i want to shorten a kitchen worktop in situ so a fridge will fit against a doorframe whats the best saw to use?my circular saw will only cut up to 75mm from the wall

You could finish with a short hand saw, floor board saw ideal.

clamp a bit off 2x2 to help you finish the last 3" with a hand saw
if you have a jigsaw you could invest in a to the wall blade
