Hi,

Just installing my first solid wood floor and come across a slight problem.

I know that you undercut the door architrave and door stop but the shape of the architrave means that it is only about 8mm thick in places. In which case, do you saw further than the architrave into the actual door frame, then chisel out the cut bit of door frame so that you can allow for more expansion.

Many thanks for any help...I'm sure that I will have a couple more questions as I go along.

Thanks,

Damian

spot on Damian.

Thanks for confirming,

Damian

P.s. Where can I get some of the good quality 10mm cork for improving the finish around a curved stairwell? Do you sell it?

Yes we do, just send an email (see my profile) to tell me what you need.
