Cutting metal handrail

I have a metal (steel) handrail from Wickes:

I need to cut it, any suggestions as what's best to cut it with, before I go hacking away?

Hacksaw.

......with very fine teeth or an angle grinder with a 1mm slitting disc.
This is very thin wall stuff - dead easy to crush in the vice so carefully does it!

Worth wrapping some masking tape around the area you're cutting. It will help to stop the blade slipping as you start the cut.

Nothing worse than a big scratch right across your shiny new pole!
