I used a circular saw to cut this upright wood in situ horizontally (18v dewalt saw) and jigsaw to cut down on ends. This allowed shed door to open.

Is this the best way and is it safe cutting like this (saw on its side)? The saw struggled. Should I have worn a mask when cutting treated wood?

Get yourself some slabs to hide that mess. Project them over the timber by 50mm or so.
