cutting railway sleepers?

Train saw

I think I may meant to say chain saw. But it depends if the slippers in question are the real thing i.e. dripping oil and impregnated with old fashioned creosote and being around 130 x 250 in size. Or are they just imitations?

Not a good idea if they are old used sleepers (which shouldn't be used anyhow), as they are soaked in tar and have load of metal "artifacts" in them. Just use a Bog standard hand saw.
