cutting section out of skirting boards

hi

i need to cut a section out of a skirting board and then put it back afterward. what is the best way to do this, is the a jig blade that sticks out infront of thi jigsaw?

Dewalt do a flush cutting blade, but i find the success of this depends on the construction of the jigsaw.

Doesnt work so well in my dewalt saw believe it or not.

A fein multimaster would make this an easy job, or one of those bosch PMF180E's if you could borrow one

a bit of skirting board and a tin of paint is sooo cheap in the scheme of any DIY project, why not just get new?

the skirtig board is old so wasnt sure if id be able to find the same anywhere. i just drilled behind it in the end. thanks eveyone
