cutting slots in tiles

is there any easy way to cut a slot in a tile, i can do the 2 side cuts with a tile cutter but how can you then make the final cut cleanly, hope this is clear 2 cuts parallel to each other then remove the bit between the 2 cuts

Do you mean a slot as in letterbox?
or
Do you mean a rectangle from 1 side, if thats what you mean you can nibble the bit away with pliers or with a tile saw cut it away, or file it.

Two side cuts with a wet cutter, third cut with a manual cutter then snap the waste out.

use a tile scribe for last cut then break it out

The best advice I can give about cutting tiles is that you can approach the cut from both sides of the tile. A decent diamond blade in an angle grinder takes a lot of beating in the right hands.
