Hi
I have some old paving slabs which are very thick and heavy. They measure 2ft x 2ft 6" and are 3" thick. I think they used to be called council slabs.

I'd like to cut one of these leaving a straight edge to finish a path. What is the best way to do this please?

I thought about putting a deep score in it with an electric grinder, and then with a support underneath, snapping the end off. A bit like cutting glass.

Thanks for your advice.

That's what I'd do.
Go quite a way through and stick it on a bag of sand to break it.
Leave the good edge for the outside
