Has anybody worked in Cyprus as a spark (or plumber for that matter).
Whats the local laws and regulation. Whats the set-up (voltage, system designs, accessories ect).
Is it similar to UK regs due to the British influence or more Greek in the installation methods??
I see lots of people with websites in Cyprus advertising themselves.

thanks

They officially use 16th. although this only came in a few years ago. a lot of the work I come across is sub standard to just plain dangerous.

there is a test to take "in Greek" to enable you to apply the the Local board for new connections. with out this you cannot work on new installs, unless your part of a company that has it.
2391 is meant to exempt you from the Greek exam, but I've not know one British sparks getting it after applying.

Volts frequency and sockets are the same as UK.
System design is in flux as I've heard the local board will want proper drawings later this year, rather than a rough plan drawn on the back of a fag packet.
many of the materials that are commonly available in the UK are not available here so its often the case that you have to use the local method.
