Damage laminate. Do I have to replace?

There is damage to the edge strip on my camper van work top (photo below). I've looked up replacing the edge strip and seems do able but I'm not a great DIY er so if I could just put some 'filler' or something on it that would be preferred. What do you think?

Stick a new band on the edge.
I wouldn't start filling it.
Why not ask a local kitchen fitter. Be a nice little filling job for someone.
 
You will only be able to achieve a nice finish if you take off the whole edge strip and replace it fully. You won't get anywhere with filler.
