one of 7 doors in the hall has damage as picture, don't want to replace doors as cannot match these.

Whats the best way repair and paint white gloss or satin, would then paint all doors the same.
thanks assistance with this.

Sand the area so it is flat and key the damaged area, fill with a flexible filler - flexible car body two pack might be best, sand flat then paint.

Another way would be to buy and hang a plaque of some sort over the hole.

It might be a good opportunity to replace all of those allow, egg box filled doors, with modern, light weight, panel doors - as I did three years ago. I replaced five doors with new, they were on special offer and cost me just £15 each delivered.

You could consider fitting those metal kick panel things you see at hospitals and shops etc etc.

You MAY be able to swap the door for another one somewhere in your house, so that the damaged part is INSIDE a room, so only need to paint ONE SIDE that is INSIDE a room.

Of course, it's never that simple - as things never line up.

The two pack car filler is similar to the two pack wood filler - though it may be cheaper.
