damaged staircase

Hi there new to the forum. Having a meltdown just now,had a joiner in boxing in my bannister,going to get it all skimmed and walls too. So I thought I would help out ...i started pulling wood any from the wall...the joiner came the following day,yesterday,only to tell me that's part of the structure for the staircase!! How do I remedy this,please. Tia.Cx

You appear to have slightly pulled the stair stringer away from the wall.
You can drill - plug - & screw the stringer back to the wall.
If a joiner is on site then leave it to the joiner - just in case you have made the stairs unsafe.
