Damp at side of new upv windows

I have two new windows fitted, both windows have damps at the bottom of the windows. how do i fix, window gutters are saying they have never seen this before and refusing to fix thank you

It’s caused by a lack of vertical DPC on window reveal.

or window not sealed properly externally and rain water getting through gap.

could even be a cill issue.


Why is your window reveal so narrow - are the windows set back by the depth of a brick and sitting on a stone cill externally (maybe house is Victorian and originally had sliding box sash windows).
 
Chop out the damp plaster. I bet they didnt foam properly when fitting the window. I am guessing you will find gaps there.

Fill with expanding foam. Cut back when dry and then plaster.
