hi all

3 bed terraced houe with extension for bathroom.

was done about 15-20years ago.

Problem if we get a fair bit of water droplets on the ceiling over shower and sink.
what coud this be

Extractor fan installed and working
window is timber, and get loads of condensation on it
no cavity insulation as far as i know of

Thanks all

It's condensation, cold air hitting warm. Is the above ceiling insulated and at what rating is the extractor fan and how big is the room, does the fan stay on for a period of time say 15 minutes after the bathroom has been used?

Hi the ceiling is insulated, but probably needs topping up

Dont know what rating it is, all i know its a 4" xpelair, and it runs on after its been switched off, also starts by itself when it needs to (humidity sensor)

is that the hole dia. or the size of the unit? As extractor with a 150mm dia would as expected be better, does the room have a window?
Is this a humidity fan or a timed one?

The hole in the wall is 4" in diameter.

room has a timber window, single glazed 42" x 42"

Fan is a humidity one with overun facility
