I have had a leak from the toilet cistern that has run down the pipe and under the floor boards. This has resulted in damp/mould on the ceiling below (green tinge with black spots) about half a square metre. I have replaced the pipe upstairs.
Any suggestions for the ceiling?
Do i need to cut out, reboard and artex?
Or would a primer and mould paint do?

When I get water stains like this I usually just apply a coat of solvent based undercoat thinned with a litle white spirit. This will seal back the water stain..Then when dry coat up with 2 coats of emulsion. But if you have mould, clean it first with a solution of clean water and bleach, I mix half a half of household bleach (the thin stuff not the thick) with cold water. Of corse you can buy the made for products like stain blockers and mould cleaners but the above works and is cheaper..

good luck.
