Mould patches on bedroom ceiling

Mattrim, good evening.
A friend of mine at work has just completed a course on Mould and removal of same.
Present day thinking is that the mould should be wiped off using a cloth with a solution of washing up liquid and water, rational is that the washing up liquid is an Alkali. one swipe with the cloth and discard it, over and over again.
Next move is to use an Anti-Mould spray
