I have had a damp patch on the carpet of my ground floor living room concrete floor for the last month. When i took up the carpet, i could see there was some discolourtion of the concrete, although it didnt feel excessively damp, and certainly not wet. I assumed it was a slightly leaking central heating/water pipe and was planning to get it looked at.

However, today, on coming back from holiday, there are 2 or 3 similar patches on other parts of the living room, reasonably far from the original one (eg a couple of meters away).

I am now quite worried as cannot understand why even if there was a first leak in one spot, why there would suddenly be others appearing, in what looks like a random manner.

Any ideas on this one?

Thx.
