I had a crack in the gutter and a hole in the wall beneath it. Both were fixed 2 days ago.
An internal wall was soaking -it has improved, but I have just been through and there is definitely more dampness coming through.
It is an old very thick stone building. My question is - would there have been water in the walls when the fix was done, and that's what is still coming through. Additional question - it has been very cold - is it possible the water in the wall froze and now that I have the central heating on full blast it is melting and coming through.
Basically I just want to know if the vast quantities of money I paid to get my the cause of my wet wall fixed - fixed A problem, but not THE problem, or am I just being impatient?
