Hi, I have what I think is damp, it's in the Utility room in the extension, that was built in 2000, before we owned the property, we've been her 3 1/2 years.
It's near a tumble dryer that is vented outside, that is what makes me think it's damp, although it isn't wet, the property is a bungalow if that makes any difference and it had the same condition when we moved in, but we had the place decorated before we moved in, so the decorator took care of it.It's a conventional double layer brick wall and it has been insulated, I know this from when we had the outside vent put in.
I've added a couple of pictures. As you can see it's a bit Bubbly and loose, some of the paint has flaked onto the floor and if I wipe the wall with my hand it is a bit powdery.
How do I get rid of it and stop it coming back?
Someone said to use some Unibond PVA Adhesive & sealant, but I thought I'd ask here.
Many Thanks, Steve
