Hi all,

New on here. I’ve just bought a hive 2 thinking I could install it myself. My current Danfoss rx1 wires look like the image above.

I now have rx1 terminal 2 in hive terminal 1. The rest is the same.

I followed the advice of another conversation on here.

The hive all seems to be working, hot water is on but the boiler wont fire up. It’s a Combi boiler.

The current setup is a Danfoss 103e5 which turns the heating on and is used to set the times etc.

Then the rx1 as the reviewer with a wireless thermostat.

I think my failing is something to do with the 103e5 controller box as that turns the boiler on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

As soon as I changed the receiver the 103 wouldn’t go on to permanent. It just switched between timed and something else but wouldn’t turn on.

I thought the 103 wouldn’t be needed any more as the hive turns the heating on?

It isn’t but are you confident with your wiring to bypass it?

You could leave the 103 in place and put a link from L-1
Or
Take the front off your 103 and move that grey wire into L

Could you just explain that in more detail please? Which would be the easiest way? I’m thinking of getting an electrician in but I’m so close.

Cheers
