Looking to replace this old intermittent stat control.

Danfoss TP5E
I’m not local to it at present as it’s at my sisters, I’ve been looking for a installation guide to see how many wires there are but only found user manual.

Anybody know how many wires ?

My goal is to remove this from the wall & replace it with something newer but I was told need to know how many wires it has.

Can you advise how many wires & an easy to use replacement.

My sister only ever uses it in manual if that helps you advise a replacement

Looks like it’s a 2 wire - live and switched, so to replace like for like you’ll need similar. If you wanted different, depending on the setup, you could opt for wireless.

I since found that it’s 2 wire.
It also mentioned no earth or neutral so live & switched live mentioned above would sound correct.

So do I now just look for a 2 wire stat ?

I would say so, if you read the writing above it states a 2 wire. Might be better with digital though, as it might be more accurate, so a Siemens RDH100 or Honeywell DT92.

I had seen it mentioned 2 wire but didn’t see what the 2 wires were.

You mentioned live & switched live.
So does that mean the above is the same or not ?

Yes, it’s the same. Some reason, manufacturers tend to put N as the return/switch live.
