Danler soft start dimmer problem

i am experiencing problems with the danler soft start dimmers they are mounted in a crabtree grid switching 400w of gu10 lighting.

when i spoke to danlers they said that the switches could carry 400w of gu10 but i have replaced two now, has anyone else experienced difficulties and does anyone know of a replacement switch to fit that grid

are the lamps run from wire wound transformers? is the soft start dimmer compatible with inductive loads?

the lamps are mains voltage lamps, so no trannies and yesthey are compatible with inductive loads
