Dark Knees

I suffer from 'dark' knees due to the fact that I am a plumber and constantly kneeling. I was wondering if anyone had any miracle cures for my embarrassing condition. I've tried all the creams and lotions, scrubs and wear knee pads but they just go back to as before - especially after a shower or after swimming etc.

Only really when I wear shorts. It looks like I've been kneeling in sh*t - which, as a plumber, I probably have.
